Gaelic Games are reputed to have been played in Roslea as far back as the 1870’s. Since then Roslea Shamrocks has provided a sporting outlet for generations of the youth of our parish. We are a vibrant club who are committed to progressing both on and off the pitch. Over the years numerous county titles have been achieved while on the facilities and infrastructure side we have developed our Club Complex, a Prunty Pitch and a fully seated spectator stand. More is planned so watch this space.

Our success has been achieved as a result of strong community support in every way. Roslea Shamrocks won the Comhairle Uladh award for Fermanagh in the millennium year for best club set up.

Community Walkway Update

Now that the GAA have moved to the next phase in the easing of lockdown restrictions there is no longer a necessity for the club to supervise the opening hours of our community walkway.  We are now permitted to allow unsupervised community access all day with all users to adhere to social distancing measures (clockwise walking, walking in groups of four people max).  The gate on the Mullaghabrady Road will be left open for community access all day.  We hope to be in a position to open the remainder of the path around the new training field as soon as construction works are complete in this area and all pedestrian routes are in a safe condition for public access, which we hope will be the end of July.  We will keep you updated on this.

E-Learning Module & Questionnaire

The GAA have published a Covid-19 E-Learning module and Health Questionnaire which must be completed by ALL players (parents/guardians of underage players), team personnel and club officers before returning to training. Please access the link on our social media pages to complete this.

‘A Better Life for Livie’

James McMahon and several Fermanagh GAA players are taking part in a shave or dye challenge in aid of ‘A Better Life for Livie’. Little Livie has been diagnosed with a rare and serious genetic neuromuscular condition called spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). This fundraiser will support Livie to get some lifesaving treatment and give her the best chance at life possible. Please find the donation link on our Facebook/Twitter page to read more about Livie’s story and support this worthy cause.
