Lotto Results

There was no winner of the Cairde Seamroga Ros Liath lotto jackpot on Sunday 3 rd January. The numbers drawn were 3, 4, 12 and 17. Ellie McMahon won the seller’s prize and the five lucky dip winners were Elaine Courtney Trillick, Ellen Boyle 10 Church Street, D Mohan c/o Bernie’s, Mags Connolly (Online) and Catherine Flanagan (Online). Next week’s draw is for £6,600. The cut off for online sales is 6.30pm each Sunday, all sales after 6.30pm go into the following week’s draw.

We are delighted to report that Seamróga Ros Liath has been awarded a Bronze Award from Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonnacha for Irish language work in the club. This achievement would not have been possible without the hard-work and dedication of Ciarán Mag Uidhir. Maith thú Ciarán! 

In keeping with our work to promote An Ghaeilge we are organising Irish classes via ZOOM. Please access the link on our Facebook page to sign up. First priority will be given to Roslea Shamrocks GFC members if oversubscribed. Beginning 12th January 2021.  Roslea GAA Healthy Club team is kick starting the new year with a positive initiative to support all of our health and wellbeing. We have registered again this year for Ireland Lights Up in association with Operation Transformation and Get Ireland Walking. We are delighted that our fantastic walkway amenity with lights on every evening will remain open for use by our community in line with government social distancing guidelines. 

Every Step Counts 

We have also registered for the Irish Life Every Step Counts Challenge.  Our Healthy Club committee is encouraging all our members, friends and families to sign up for the next steps challenge. (Over 18s only).   Every Step Counts challenge means just that, no matter if you walk 1km a week or 100km, sign up and help our club reach the target of 4000km in 8 weeks. This is open to everyone and we welcome and encourage all to get involved. 

To register follow these steps -

  1. Download the free MyLife app from GooglePlay/App Store
  2. Tap on the social tab on the MyLife app
  3. Select challenges
  4. Select the challenge for Ulster
  5. Tap on join & select Roslea GAA CLUB

Step challenge starts on Wednesday 7 th January. Ideal if you have a Fitbit / Garmin / Google or Apple fit app as you can sync steps to Irish Life app.  The club send their condolences to the Rooney family on the recent passing of Maureen, wife of former club Treasurer Terry and mother of former players Ciaran and Cathal. Maureen was also the grandmother of former players Donal and Niall Kelly and current underage player Charlie Rooney. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam.
