Seamróga Óga – for all Primary School Boys and Girls in classes P1 – P6

The Seamróga Óga Primary School GAA training sessions will recommence on Monday evening, 20th September from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on the new floodlight pitch in Shamrock Park. It is hoped to continue these sessions (weather permitting) for the next six weeks.

These sessions are open to all boys and girls in P1- P6 (P7 Boys and Girls will get their weekly club GAA training session separately at either the boys or girls U13 training sessions).  Before you bring your child along, please note the following,

  • Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic you must register your child on the GAA Return to Play database BEFORE EACH SESSION. Please go to returntoplay.gaa.ie and register your child in the U11 group. Once you have initially registered your child you must then reconfirm the health questionnaire on behalf of your child before each session. This is vitally important and is a pre-condition of your child attending and taking part in the session.
  • The club expects the child’s parent or guardian to stay in the vicinity of our grounds during the session, which will last max 1 hour, and requests that no child /children are dropped off and left to attend and participate in the session unaccompanied. We also request that parents / guardians socially distance from each other whilst viewing the session and waiting for it to complete.
  • There will hand sanitising stations on entry to and exit from each session – all children and parents / guardians must sanitise their hands on entry and exit.
  • If your child wishes he / she may bring their own water bottle but make sure it is clearly marked with their name and that it is not shared with any other child.
  • The club will also require help and assistance from parents to run the various stations / drills so that the session runs smoothly and the children get the maximum benefit from it, so please offer your assistance when requested and help out the coaches who are already there.
  • If your child or your family are not already members of the GAA club you will need to register as a member to be covered under the GAA Insurance Scheme. Membership costs £5 per child or £40 per family and there will be membership forms available for completion at each session.

We look forward to welcoming you and your children to our new floodlight training facility in Shamrock Park and hope that your children enjoy the sessions in the fantastic surroundings and that it becomes a regular experience for them.

Many Thanks.

The Committee of Roslea Shamrocks GFC.
