The Senior Team play Ederney on Saturday 30th October at 4 pm in Tempo.

Our U17’s hosted St Oliver Plunkett’s (Coa & Ederney amalgamation) last Saturday morning in Shamrock Park in the Championship semi-final. The game turned out to be a much tighter affair than when the sides met in the league earlier in the season with both sides really going for it, in what turned out to be a great championship game with end to end action from both sides. Roslea got off to a good start and at the first half water break led on a score line of 1.01 to no score with Roslea’s goal coming from Oisin Toye. At the half time break St Oliver Plunkett’s had got themselves right back into the game and lead 2.04 to 1.04. By the second half water break Roslea’s hard work and energy had got them back in front by the slimmest of margins, 2.06 to 2.05. St Oliver Plunketts did start to exert more influence on the game and were ahead again by four points as the game entered the closing stages but Roslea never gave in and worked extremely hard all over the pitch and got just rewards for their efforts when Ben Mc Mahon got on the end of a long high ball into the square to finish to the net and a further point from Oisin Toye meant the game finished all square at normal time on a score line of 3.06 each. The game then entered 20 minutes of extra time and the Shamrocks continued to battle hard all over the pitch but St Oliver Plunkett’s were able to notch on a further 4 points to run out winners on a score line of 3.10 to 3.07. It was a great championship game and credit to both sides for playing their part in it. The defeat brings to a close the season for our U17’s but the entire panel can be proud of their efforts right throughout the season despite all the knockbacks they have suffered along the way. They lost in a great championship game on Saturday which they entered as underdogs but their hard work and never say die attitude almost got them into the final. Congratulations to St Oliver Plunkett’s and best wishes to them as they go on to the final to face Belcoo.

The Seamroga Oga (P1 to P6) “Monday Nights Under Lights” sessions in Shamrock Park have now finished for the year. Thanks to all the boys and girls and their parents for attending each week and a special word of thanks to all the parents and coaches who helped with coaching each age group over the past few months. These sessions will resume again in the spring.

Due to the adverse weather our main pitch is now closed until further notice.

The AGM will take place on Saturday 27th November at 7:30 pm. All members are invited to attend.
