Club Notes 18th October 2021

There was no winner of the Cairde SeamrogaRos Liath lotto jackpot on Sunday 17th October. The numbers drawn were 5, 9, 19 and 28. Packie McCabe won the seller’s prize and the five lucky dip winners were Mary Tierney Roslea, Eimear McCabe Tattinbar, Karen McGoldrick Maguiresbridge, Jackie/Hallie Courtney Trillick and Mary Connolly (Online).

The September Cairde draw took place on Thursday evening. The winners of £500 were Sean Connolly Belfast and Gary DeeryKnockavea. The £100 winners were Sylvia & Martin Toye, Turlough Faux, Maurice & Patrica Rooney Belfast, Kathleen Cadden Smithboro and Pat Mohan Ervy Road.

Our Senior Team play the losers of Derrygonnellyv Ederney on Saturday 30th October at 4 pm in Tempo.

Our U17’s travelled to Tempo on Saturday morning for their quarter final of the championship. The first quarter of the game was fairly evenly matched and at the first half water break Tempo lead by 4 points to 3. Roslea started to exert their influence on the game in the 2nd quarter after a Tempo sending off and Roslea went in at the half time break leading 2.04 to Tempo’s 5 points. Roslea continued to lead from the front right throughout the 2nd half and they finished winners on a scoreline of 3.09 to 0.12. It was a good all round team performance with still plenty to work on for our semi final. Scorers on the day for the Shamrocks were Caolán Rooney 3.06, James Flanagan 0.01, Oisin Toye 0.01 and Daniel Boyle 0.01. Their reward for their quarter final win is a home semi final which is fixed for this coming Saturday morning, 23rd Oct at 11am in Shamrock Park V St Oliver Plunkettswhich is an amalgamation of Ederney St Joseph’s and Coa. Please come and support the team in Shamrock Park on Saturday morning in their quest to make the final.

‘Monday Nights under Lights’

Seamróga Óga has recommenced in Shamrock Park on Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm. Please ensure that children are dressed appropriately for the autumnal weather. 

Due to the adverse weather our main pitch is now closed until further notice.
