Having played each other twice already in the league, the battle of the Shamrocks saw both teams entering the game knowing it was going to be a close game, and so it proved.
Playing with the breeze Roslea got off to a better start, Darragh starting the scoring with a point in the 3rd minute after some great work by Daniel Murphy to set him up. Another point quickly followed as Charlie and Matthew combined to set up Caolan for his first of the day, before Teemore hit back with their first point in the 6th minute, followed by another point in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute Niall went on one of his long runs straight down the middle to lay the ball of to Ciaran who duly slotted the ball over the bar. Roslea kept up their pressure on the Teemore defence and got their first goal in the 18th minute, Padraig and Matthew working well to feed the ball to Caolan, and after taking on his man fired the ball into the corner of the net. A pointed freekick by Caolan was quickly followed by another point by Darragh in the 23rdminute after some patient build up play. Teemore answered straight back with their third point of the day before Niall went on another full length run to lay the ball of to Caolan who made no mistake in putting the ball over the bar. Another free kick from Caolan kept the scoreboard ticking over before Teemore hit back with 2 points in the 29th and 30th minute. As the game went into injury time Rowan got on the end of a pass from Charlie to get himself on the scoresheet with a point. Teemore won the resulting kickout and went straight up the pitch to score another point and with time almost up,Roslea had 1 more attack, a shot from distance by Caolan dropped over the keepers head into the back of the net.

The second half started with Roslea in control but failed to get to grips with the breeze, three wides early on was punished by Teemore as they bagged a goal in the 38th minute, again a shot from distance ended up un the back of the net. This led to a 10 minute spell in the game where both teams cancelled each other out before Caolan scored another point from a free kick. Teemore won the resulting kickout and moved the ball quickly down the pitch and slotted the ball over the bar, and this led to a sustained spell of pressure on the Roslea defence as Teemore went looking for another goal, which they got in the 60th minute, leaving 2 points between the sides. This led to an nerve wrecking few minutes of injury time as Teemore went in search of a winning goal and could have snatched it late as they hit the post on 3 occassions but it just was not their day. A final attack by Teemore in the 5th minute of injury time led to some panic in the Roslea defence, Conor Woods having no choice but to foul the attacking player and receive a black card. The resulting free kick was fired goalward but a Roslea hand got to the ball to divert it over the bar and this was to be the final action of the game. Final score Roslea 2:09, Teemore 2:08.
