Pride of place in the club this week goes to our U11.5 boys and girls following their fantastic victory in the division 4 league final last Sunday morning in Brewster Park against a gallant and well organised Aughadrumsee side. It was a fantastic game of football with some great passages of play and scores from both sides but the Shamrocks came out deserving winners in the end and finished their league campaign off on a high. Well done also to the coaches of this team, Malcolm Mc Clave, Colin Rooney & Simone Murphy and to Damien Clerkin, James Connolly, Barry Mc Kenna, Emma Rooney, Ciosa Mc Clave & Paul Boyle for assisting at various times during the year and to the clubs coaching and games development sub committee for their excellent guidance around the structure and planning of training sessions for this group. The future is bright around Shamrock Park. Well done all.
The club would like to publicly thank James Connolly, his family and all the staff from JFC Distribution / Love Sweets for their generous sponsorship of a new set of jerseys for our U10 boys and girls and also to Emmett Cassidy from the Full of the Blade Barbers Shop in Clones for his generous sponsorship of a new set of jerseys for our U15 boys team. Photographs of both jersey presentations and further publicity around these sponsorships will appear on our social media channels and on our new club website in the very near future.
The club would also like to thank The Village Inn for their continuing and long running sponsorship of our junior and senior men’s teams.
The Executive Committee, Players & Members of Roslea Shamrocks GFC offer their sincere condolences to our former player, former Chairman and current Club President Packie and the entire McCabe family on the death of Packie’s brother Peter. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
